ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
I’m Alex Toff, a drummer with over twenty years of live and studio experience. My playing blends a deep sense of groove, high‑energy performance and a song‑first, tasteful approach to every track. My feel and all‑round musicality have been called on by artists including A‑ha, Imogen Heap, Belinda Carlisle, Mike Posner, Dashboard Confessional, Martha Wainwright and many more, in studios and on stages around the world. Whether it’s driving a live show or crafting parts in the studio, I’m always focused on serving the music and making the whole band feel great.
Teaching came naturally. I love passing on what I’ve learned from years behind the kit with some incredible artists and bands. Learn at your own pace, around your musical taste and schedule, and without any pressure — whether you want to tighten your groove, build rock‑solid time, understand how the drums lock in with the rest of the band, or simply enjoy sitting down at the kit and playing the music you love.
